I Love Mr. Coffee: Single Serve Coffee Maker

*EDIT* The Mr. Coffee Single Serve Coffee Maker is on SALE this week at Walmart for just $48.00! Can’t think of a better holiday gift for the coffee lovers on your list.
(Valid November 18-24, 2011)

… Yes, I love Mr. Coffee. And I’m not even cheating on my husband by saying it – heck, he loves him too.

Great news, folks – Mr. Coffee is in Canada! And with their über-convenient Single Serve Coffee Maker, featuring Keurig brewing technology, chances are you’ll be declaring your undying devotion too. It’s that awesome.

“Canadians shouldn’t have to compromise taste or quality for convenience when it comes to enjoying a good cup of coffee,” says Adam Ball, director of marketing, Jarden Consumers Solutions. “Mr. Coffee Single Serve Coffee Makers use Keurig’s patented, powerful brewing engine, so Canadians can indulge in a coffeehouse experience at home.”

I received the machine for review a few months ago. Now here’s the scoop: rather than write about it, I thought I’d show you why it’s so hot! Turn your speakers up – I had to speak in a lower voice as the kiddos were in bed :)

Are you in love yet?
Well, here are few points that I really ought to mention: (more…)

FREE 4×4 Brag Book from Wal-Mart

Nice little freebie! If you’ve got a Wal-Mart Canada Photo Centre near you, enter code BRAG to receive a FREE 4×4 Brag Book (26 pages, value $10). The offer is only valid on in-person pick up orders, and expires on Saturday, July 9th.

They’ve got a Canada-themed book which I think would be perfect for capturing your July 1st memories! And the price is right – FREE!

Save Your Sanity Tip #14

Shop at Wal-Mart… at 7:10am.

Seriously, folks, I don’t make this stuff up. Be at Wally World just a few minutes after opening, and you will be their ONLY customer. Then, to prove that your entire shopping experience can be free of whiny kids, bumper carts and climbing over customers, I took these photos just before I left – at 8:25am.

Blissfully, still without a customer – or pulse. Save Your Sanity – shop at Wal-Mart before everyone else does.

Nicole by OPI Justin Bieber Collection

OMG. Justin Bieber has a nail polish collection? And it’s with freakin’ OPI? Now I’ve seen everything.

This week’s Wal-Mart flyer advertises the Nicole by OPI Justin Bieber Collection for just $9.68 each. When I saw the flyer, I did a double take – this dude has the market tapped. Seriously. What’s next, Justin Bieber panty liners? Don’t tell me, he just inked a contract with Kotex, right?

I had heard rumblings of his nail polish collection selling out in the States but it didn’t really click until I saw the ad. I’d say get to Wally World in a hurry before Bieber (nail) fever takes over here as well – if it hasn’t already.

Now I’m not sure if Wal-Mart has his “One Less Lonely Girl” or “Spring 2011″ collection, but just in case you’re curious (or know a little girl of Bieber-esque age), the shades are:

ONE LESS LONELY GIRL

One Less Lonely Glitter (lavender), OMB! (bright red), Me + Blue (dark blue), Give Me The First Dance (silver), Step 2 the Beat of My Heart (heart-shaped glitter), and Prized Possession Purple (grape).

SPRING 2011

Red-y to Runaway Love? (red), One Time Lime (green), I’m a Belieber (light purple), My Lifesaver (mint green), Not a Gold Bigger (metallic gold), I’ve Got Bieber Fever (dark purple), and Make U Smile (silver glitter).

Definitely a heavy emphasis on the inky and metallic hues… but overall I’m quite impressed. Would it have killed him to include one pink? (Or as my mom would say, “A nice peach or coral?”) I just can’t think like a 16-year old dude, I guess. Though I am loving “My Lifesaver” pictured above. HOT.

SSS: Walmart Photo Centre Goodies

Wooo… almost forgot about the Stock Stuffer Series!

Today’s find is from none other than Walmart Photo Centre – the holidays are all about being personal, so why not give a personalized photo gift?

This item was made for the Stocking Stuffer Series. It’s a personalized stocking! Until November 18th, they’re just $19.97, and you’ll even receive a bonus Christmas-themed flashlight while quantities last (I suppose to catch old St. Nick coming down the fireplace). Click here for more details.

There are quite a few items on promotion at the moment – do take a look!

Promo: $10 Walmart/Loblaws GC w/Purchase

Here’s a neat little way to have your home smelling wonderful for the holidays… FREE!

For a limited time (until GC quantities last), spend $10 at Walmart or Loblaws on Glade products, fill out a handy rebate form with your attached receipt, and you’ll receive a $10 gift card to Walmart or Loblaws courtesy of Glade Right at Home!

Now this promo only works if you take the time to fill out the form and mail it in… something I am notoriously bad at. In fact, a couple of years ago Febreze had a similar offer, and I just sneaked in the rebate before the cut off. I’m not sure I like that they don’t give a proper “valid until” date – rather, it’s until they run out of gift cards – but if you use Glade products anyway, you really don’t have anything to lose.

Click here to print your $10 Glade rebate form.

SSS: $25 iTunes Gift Card for $20

Thanks to Soulla for passing along this juicy tip – a worthy addition to The Stocking Stuffer Series!

Until Thursday, October 21st, Walmart is selling $25 iTunes gift cards for just $20. They had a similar promo last year just before Christmas – looks like they had stocking stuffers on the mind too!

LOVE this gift for the tweens and teens on you list… if you can’t stuff Justin Bieber in your niece’s stocking, may as well let her download all 17 versions of his latest pop ballad.

Walmart: BUY.PAMPERS.NOW

It’s Walmart’s Anniversary Sale! You know what that means – insane prices, insane shoppers, and insanely crabby cashiers. Let the festivities begin!

If you’ve decided to check out the sale and have a wee one in diapers (size 3-6 Pampers, to be precise), do grab up to four (4) boxes of Pampers Baby Dry Giant Diapers for just $17.97. That’s 140 count for size 4, if you’re calculating cost per diaper.

I’m excited about this sale! I just received a package with $3 off coupons from Pampers last week, so this is perfect timing. Looks like I’ll be schlepping some green boxes tomorrow :)

While Walking Through Walmart…

Here’s another edition of “While Walking Though Walmart,” except this time it’s more like While Flipping Through the Walmart Canada Flyer. Saw some great deals happening this week and wanted to highlight them.

Nestle Pure Life 24-Pack Natural Spring Water – $2.00
Time to stock up for end of summer BBQs and for when the kids go back to school. If you buy bottle water, I don’t have to tell you that 2 bucks is a phenomenal price.

Sterilite 114L Storage Tote – $8.00
This is a huge freakin’ storage bin and is a must for anyone who wants to pack their stuff away. Similar sized bins will run you $14.97 at Zellers or $20 for the see-through version at Ikea. Your choice of blue, green or pink.

Assorted 15×15″ Canvas Art – $9.00
Some great prints that are perfect for your teen’s bedroom or home office. I quite like the guitars – perhaps to go over Mike’s mess of music equipment in the basement?

Baby Mum Mum – 2 for $4
Ryder loves these when we’re out and about; as long as I keep doling them out, he happily stays in the stroller. One day he’ll figure out they’re actually quite tasteless.

HP Deskjet D1660 Printer – $19.98
Here’s an example of the printer being cheaper than the ink. If you need a basic printer for limited use, or if your own printer takes HP60 ink, grab this one ASAP. Just yank out the ink cartridges and donate the printer.
Back to School Goodies – Cheap
That’s the only way I can describe the smorgasbord of back of school supplies. Makes me wish I was in elementary school again.

Ladies Flats – $10
Okay how cute are these? Don’t even think about wearing an all-black ensemble without adding a punch of animal spunk. How cute would the zebra ones be with jeans and a white tank top?

Olay Body Wash – $3.50
That’s a fabulous price! If you’re serious about moisture, it’s time to stock up!

Tide 64 Use – $11.97
My Loblaws sells this same item for $17.99. If you do laundry, and I have a feeling you might, this would be a great time to grab one or two (if you’re like me you’ll grab six).

L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro or Studio Line – $3.00
I found the Vive Pro conditioner at the back of my vanity and have been using it for the past 2 weeks – it’s pretty darned decent! Would recommend.

That’s all that stood out for me, but we all have different reasons for visiting Wallyworld so I would definitely check out your local flyer.

Spotted: Salon Selectives at Walmart!

You’re probably tired of me going on and on about how much I love Salon Selectives hairspray. BUT, consider this – according to Google Analytics, the most popular post ever on Listen to Lena! is my review of Salon Selectives hairspray, with over 5,000 hits via Google Search since May 2009! Holy Hannah.

Well, to my fellow SS Junkies, I have wonderful news – you can now find the new, revamped Salon Selectives line at Walmart! To tell the truth, I’m not really a fan of the new design hairspray – I like it about 85% as much as their original formula. However, I’m still loyal to the brand and will choose it over any other hairspray on the market – at under $3, it’s my beauty bargain!

And since today happens to be my 3rd Wedding Anniversary (love you honey!), I thought I’d post a picture of me touching up right before I walked down the aisle – with a quick hit of Salon Selectives, of course!

Walmart: Food Storage Containers on Sale

If you’re like me and hoard Tupperware (okay, I know I shouldn’t call it “Tupperware” as this is a name brand and I’m referring to “storage con-tainers”, much like people say “Pass me a Kleenex” when they need a tissue…)

Whoa, got off track there. Okay – If you’re like me and hoard Tupperware, you won’t be able to pass up this sale. For a limited time, Walmart Supercentres are offering the Starfrit Lock n Lock 18-piece set (pictured above) for just $9.97! I’ve seen this exact set at Home Outfitters for almost $30, so this is a deal indeed. If you’re partial to Rubbermaid, you can also pick up their 12-piece Lock-it set for $8.97.

Just remember that lids are counted as a “piece”, so you’re actually receiving 9 and 6 storage units, respectively.

Looks like the hoarding will continue!

Walmart Photo Centre: 50 FREE Prints

For a limited time, sign up for a new account with the Walmart Photo Centre and you’ll receive 50 FREE 4×6″ Prints! (Accounts are determined by e-mail address, so don’t be afraid to use an alternate addy to grab those freebies).

Photos may be uploaded, edited and stored online; prints can be picked up at any Walmart Photo location in about an hour.

Walmart Photo Collage Mug Just $10

If you’re looking for a cool little gift for Father’s Day, here’s a cheap and sweet idea. Walmart Photo Centre is currently offering their popular collage mug at a discounted price – just $10 instead of the regular price of $18.97.

Love that you can upload a bunch of images! I will definitely be grabbing one for hubby this year. (Hurry! Deal ends today!)

Walmart.ca: Free Pantene Sample

Pantene’s got a new line of customized hair care solutions on the way, and Walmart.ca wants you to sample some for free!

“Pantene experts carefully studied hair’s unique structure and designed customized solutions for each unique hair type.” Simply jump online and grab a free sample of Pantene’s new goodies. What I’m liking – you can select a shampoo for colour treated hair, and then sub-categorize it further for volume as well. Nice! Until now, I always had to choose between volume and colour protection. I’ll let you know how it goes!
