Lena Loves… Parenting On Track CLOSED

As Ryder approaches 21 months, I have a lot of questions about the boy he’ll be. Will he be sweet natured – or feisty? Will he be happy to oblige – or fight me on every point? Will he set his own course – or noodle around for direction?

I have a lot of questions about the parent I’ll be too.

At the moment, it’s easy to say no. It’s easy to bully my little guy into following my schedule. And it’s especially easy because he hasn’t learned to fully voice his opinion (though his NO!!!s are getting louder and more frequent). So truly, I’ve just begun to transition from “caregiving” to “parenting.” And it scares me silly.

Through Parent Tested Parent Approved (who else?), I was introduced to Vicki Hoefle and Parenting On Track. And what I found was a parenting program like no other – one that allowed me to take an honest look at my family dynamics, my parenting habits thus far, and provided guidance and insight for the future.

Who is Vicki Hoefle?

Director and Parent Educator, Vicki Hoefle, began developing the Parenting On Track program over 20 years ago when searching for guidance on how to parent her own family in an atmosphere of love, compassion, trust and mutual respect.

Introduced to the concepts of Dr. Alfred Adler through “Systematic Training for Effective Parenting”, Vicki began studying and applying Adlerian principles to her own family.

Energized by how well the concepts worked for her, Vicki began sharing them as a facilitator of local parenting classes, while refining the practical applications in her Adlerian Child Care Center. After a brief professional pause, Vicki began to focus exclusively on parent education and the development of the Parenting On Track program that her students rave about today.

What is the Parenting on Track Difference?

Many of the parenting programs available today rely on discipline strategies to “get rid of” children’s misbehavior or to “get” children to behave differently. Parenting On Track is unique in that it focuses on identifying, solving, and preventing problems instead of merely eliminating the symptoms.

Our program is based on a timeless philosophy grounded in Adlerian Psychology. The strategies presented in our program help parents create lasting, mutually respectful parent-child relationships. Parents learn how to enjoy their children when they are young while supporting and guiding them toward independence.

The program is divided into three parts and twelve chapters:

Part I: Discovery
Part II: Invest in the Best
Part III: Tools of Necessity

For a complete synopsis plus video clip of all the chapters, please click here.

For every parent who’s ever thrown up their hands in defeat, this program is for you. I was literally hooked from the first chapter – Three Secrets Your Pediatrician Never Told You (and now I’ll bet you’re pretty curious, too – click the link for a FREE download of Chapter One). Vicki has a way of touching a nerve – that nerve being the secret fears and insecurities of every parent. You’re forced to examine your own bad habits and shortcomings; then make adjustments for these behaviours that will allow you and your family to move in a positive direction.

From the start, the program is easy to follow. There are no new concepts to learn, nor do you require a decoder ring to understand Vicki’s strategies and recom-mendations. You simply need the time, willingness and determination to follow the program through to completion. Sounds like a lot? It’s not. In three short months you can forever change your family’s relationship for the better.

Another thing I love about Parenting On Track? After you’ve completed the program, you can re-visit each chapter individually whenever you’d like, depending on your family’s challenges at the moment. It’s truly a program that grows with you and your family.

Parenting On Track is Parent Tested Parent Approved! Our parent evaluators loved the ease of the program, the intuitive study guide, and the real results. Included in the Home Program Media Set is 4-DVDs, 4-CDs and 1 Personal Study Guide, plus a one-year online membership to their Member’s Online Support Forum.

I have not yet finished the entire 12-week program, but can honestly say that the first few chapters have allowed me to re-examine my habits, provided insight on what to expect, and have granted me confidence to face the certain upcoming challenges with respect, love and compassion. If your child is 1, 11 or 21, you will find much value in Parenting On Track.

I will most certainly follow up with ya’ll once I have completed the program. Look for my follow-up review in April!

This program can help my family by nipping behaviours I'm already starting to see in my 15.5 month old in the bud

This program looks amazing as a parent i'm always looking to learn and develop. Liam is still small enough to catch the habits his sister made me pull my hair out with.

Parenting on Track would help our family. The 3.5 year old is starting not to be scared of timeouts and the 1.5 year old follows everything the older one does.

Parenting on track would help me (in the future) because I have NO IDEA how I'm going to be able to discipline my baby Jane. I've always been a bit of a "hard ass" when it comes to rules and such. However, whenever I say "no" to Jane it's hard as heck not to smile back at her when she thinks it's funny! Great giveaway Lena!

We have friends who have toddlers in the whiny and difficult stage, and I'd like to start off right to avoid that (if possible) or at least to know how to deal with it appropriately when it happens! Parenting on track looks like a great program…

Sounds like an incredible program . . . I already think I am going to have my hands full with my Liam (13 months) . . . he thinks that no is the most hilarious word ever and hair pulling is pretty funny too . . .

Oooh! A friend recommended Parenting on Track to me after watching my 6 year old take a half hour to get ready to go after dance class several weeks in a row (that's a half hour after everyone else had gone). Yes, I was patient, but how to solve this problem? She said I've got to try parenting on track. Just looking at the website has changed my entire outlook on this thing called parenting. I would love to have the DVDs. I'm ready to be illuminated.

I'm a brand new parent…and I love my baby sooo much. I want to do the right things by her. I wish children came with manuals so we, as parents, might know how to teach them to be confident and happy individuals…this might be as close as we can get to help us to help our child.

This looks like a great resource. I have read and attended several workshops regarding the Adlerian theory of raising children and my son currently attends an Adlerian nursery school. This resource could really help me remember great parenting tips that work.

What a great program. I have a 7-year old girl and a 11-month old boy. I am beginning to realize just how different they are going to be. What worked with the older one is not going to work with the younger one.

This would really help my family. As a first-time parent, I am trying to learn how to build up a relationship with my baby and one the other hand trying to develop parenting skills. As I am living with my mom as well, there's always a different concepts between my mom and me as to parenting skills. I think this program is very good as it focuses on identifying, solving, and preventing problems instead of merely eliminating the symptoms which I think is very important.

As a mom to 5 kids this would come in handy. Right now I am constantly changing up how I disipline each child, b/c they are all different. I definitely have days when I am drained from battling my kids moods and tantrums. The teen years woth 4 girls and a boy scare me LOL. My Dh would enjoy this series too.

I think this program will help me with my 7 year old and my 19 month old. My 7 year old is starting with the pre-teen attitude and I think if I learn new ways to redirect his behavior it will help me when he is a teen. With my 19 month old I've noticed I let him get away with more because I know he is my last. It's almost as if I have forgotten how to discipline a toddler.

I have struggled with underlying issues with my son for years. He struggles with ocd, as well as missing social cues. We have put in place some skills to help him cope, but with him entering into puberty, there has arisen new challenges. We have been homeschooling him for 4 years now because of these issues. I really think this might be an option for us.

WOW…What a great giveaway! I think this could be of great benifit to our family. We have an 8 month old daughter and I look at how alot of my friends are always yelling and and trying to bribe their kids to get them to listen..and it NEVER works. I don't even think their kids respect them. I don't want to be that way and I feel like this could get me started on the right path. I could also hand it down to other parents.

This program would help my family so much. We have been struggling with getting my four year old to listen and in the rebellion of her doing that, she has started to teach her younger sister her ways. I feel like she never listens to me & no matter how many times I tell her no, they only thing that works is yelling or spanking.I really wish I didn't have to do any of these things but I have tried everything it seems. I am at my wits in, ready to wave a white flag. I hate that she sometimes makes me feel like a failure as a parent. Thank you for giving me the chance to enter into this giveaway, I really hope we might be that lucky family who gets to try, we definitely could use it.

We are parents to our son who was born as a drug addicted baby and came to us through adoption. We are dealing with many challenges in behavior due to the issues he experiences. We try so hard with this child we wanted so badly. We want to love him and want to bring him up right but I worry if we give in too easy or over discipline. This program maybe the answer we are searching for.
