Coach Outlet in Ontario: My Lilac Dream
I’ve received quite a few e-mails from interested readers wanting to know more about the Coach Outlet in Ontario, and specifically, if it’s worth the drive to Niagara Falls. In light of their current 20% off coupon (expiring this Sunday!) I thought I’d take a moment to share my thoughts.

Location
Plain and simple, the Coach Factory Store is the only thing worth visiting at the Canada One Outlet Mall, so please don’t plan on making a shopping day out of it – sadly, you can’t. True, they’ve also got Nine West, Roots, Tommy Hilfiger, Danier, Esprit, etc… but so what? So do Vaughan Mills, Heartland and every other suburban outlet mall. And you can probably find one without driving 2 hours down the QEW.
Service
Top notch, as expected at every Coach store, in every location across the globe. Sales staff will gladly check backroom stock for you, calculate the discounted price on demand, and look for hidden gems based on your preferences. I like to find a friendly face and monopolize his/her time for the duration of stay, eliciting their advice on styles, promos, and best sellers.
Selection
If you’ve ever been to their counterpart across the border, you may think that the selection is slightly lacking in some of the larger totes and slings. However, unless you’re looking to cram a Costco-inspired jar of pickles in your purse, you should be quite happy with their medium- and smaller-sized offerings. They have a wonderful assortment of bright, summery hues, and equal representation among the basics (black, brown and tan). The ratio of signature prints to solid is probably 2:1, but as the whole point of carrying a Coach handbag is to let people know it (at 40 paces), it’s really not a surprise the store is blanketed with “C’s”.
Prices
One word: PHENOMENAL. Absolutely, painfully, deliciously phenomenal. Lena-Approved to infinity, and beyond! Most items are at least 30% off retail store prices, and it’s not hard to find styles marked down by 50-60% as well. Are you sitting down? (Of course you are, duh) This weekend, when you add the 20% off coupon, you can actually purchase selected items for 80% off. I think I may faint.
