Gap Launches Canadian Website

Sike! I bet you thought, “Cool! Now when Gap’s on sale, I can shop online and bypass the heaps of unorganized clothing, 35-person queues, indifferent salespeople and stench of cheap cotton!”

Well you can’t. The Canadian website is basically limited to an advertisement for their clothing. In a nutshell, it’s the US equivalent (gap.com), minus the functionality of actually being able to buy something (which is, of course, the purpose of having a retail website).

But don’t fret! There’s a small link in the corner which promises “Online shopping available in Fall 2009“- Mark your calendars!

There is a silver lining – when you sign up to be part of their mailing list, you will receive information on products, upcoming sales and promotional offers. 48 hours after I signed up I received 3 offers:

10% off entire purchase at Gap
$10 off $50 at Old Navy
20% off purchase of $125 or more at Banana Republic

I’d love to share the coupons with you here, but they explicitly state that you have to print out the e-mail to prove that you are on the mailing list. So I will share the link:

Jump on their mailing list and get something out of this website! Thanks to Ing for the Lena-approved tip!

Gillette Fusion Razor

Has anyone tried this thing? Supposedly “five blades are better than one”. Yes, that’s the slogan. Well, ahem, Gillette, my 5-month old could have told you that. Fire your marketing department.

Anyhoo, I decided to try this razor on for size, since it was free courtesy of my coupon (more later). Well let me tell ya, WOW!!! This this is serious stuff. I think I shaved my legs in 6.5 seconds flat (sorry if TMI). It truly is great. I’ll never doubt Tiger Woods again!

Just make sure you use the utmost care, as five blades can certainly cut A LOT deeper than one!

The razor retails for between $8.99 and $13.99, depending where you look, but someone always has it on sale. Pretty nifty, considering you can get your $10.00 off coupon here making it free if you’re a smart shopper! Can I get a Woot Woot for smooth legs!

Coupon Crazy (Expired)

So you all know that I love using coupons. I mean, why not? You save money, it only takes a second to whip out of your wallet, and you can treat yourself to that $4.00 latte without feeling guilty.

As this is a “virgin” coupon post, let’s start off with a BANG… here’s a link to save up to $120 on household items. Hurry! The link will be available for a limited time only. Simply check off the coupons you’d like and Proctor and Gamble (P&G) will mail them to you. ENJOY!

Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil

I LOVE THIS EYELINER!

It’s a “soft” kohl, which means ~

1) It goes on smoothly, almost like a liquid
2) There’s no tugging or faded lines
3) The colour is INTENSE

And here’s the kicker… it’s a pencil! That’s right ladies, the boldness of a liquid liner with the convenience of a pencil. Absolutely heavenly for those who have a less-than-steady hand while applying liquid lines.

The product also lasts all day long with NO FADING whatsoever. Did I mention I LOVE this eyeliner?

I stumbled across these gems while waiting for a prescription at Shoppers Drug Mart. They’re retailing them for $6.99 which is a steal in itself. I normally wouldn’t have even thought of Rimmel, but the cosmetician looked fab and I asked her what she was using. Surprise!

Try it! You’ll love it!

Listen to Lena!

Hi Everyone!

Well I certainly never thought I’d be a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom – eeek!) but here I am and of course I’m as happy as ever. Ryder is quite a handful, but when he’s asleep (as he is now), I suddenly seem to have time on my hands, and I always think, I have to mention this or that to the girls.

So I’ve decided to start a blog (please humour me). As a SAHM, I get inundated with offers, freebies, etc. etc., plus I actually have time to peruse flyers and be notified of sales. Lately, I’ve been trying new things when it comes to make-up and groceries (since I really have no other pizzazz in my life right now, other than changing a particularly heavy diaper).

I hope you enjoy my blog, and keep the comments coming!
